"SomNovember" is a casual bingo challenge taking place during November, in which you combine popular tropes and kinks with the kink somnophilia. For example, you might combine "arranged marriage" and somnophilia!Completed works can be in any fandom, and can also be original works. There is no minimum requirement. If you don't hit a bingo, that's cool too - we just hope you have fun making whatever you make!Sign-ups are currently closed, but we'll be back in 2022! About SomNovember

The default consent level of any piece created for SomNovember is assumed to be dubious consent. Please be aware of this before taking part in the event. You can of course choose to write any level of consent including fully consensual somnophilia, but other works may run the full spectrum of mildly dub-con to fully non-consensual. You have been warned!

How can I join?

There are six categories of kinks and tropes. Some of these tropes will fall under multiple categories, but they're divided up this way to avoid too much repetition.To take part in the event, you must first be above the age of 18. Then:1. Fill out our form as follows:

2. You will be assigned a bingo card with five (or four) randomly selected prompts from each category. These will be the prompts that you combine with somnophilia.3. Upon receiving your card, if you're unhappy with it, you can choose to "burn" one prompt, which will be replaced by another random prompt. You also have a one-time option to have us reshuffle your card into a random layout to change the order of the prompts.4. Create your works and share them in the Archive of Our Own (AO3) collection if you wish, and tag us on Twitter if you like (our event tag is #somnovember2021) so that we can share your wonderful creations!5. Q: How long will sign-ups be open?
A: The sign-up form will stay open until November 30, 2021, 11:59pm Pacific Time.Q: When will the AO3 collection open?
A: The AO3 collection will open on November 1, 2021.Q: Can I collaborate with someone?
A: Of course! One of you should sign up to make a bingo card and include both of the names you'd like on your card. Then you can either collaborate on the same prompts or each fill different prompts.Q. If I'm collaborating with someone, do we both need to work on every fill together?
A. Nope! You can both contribute to all of your fills, or each make different fills to count towards one bingo.Q: I don't want to make dub-con or non-con.
A: Then don't! But be aware that others taking part in the challenge definitely will.Q: What are the rules for tagging you on Twitter with our creation?
A: There's not many rules at all! Our Twitter is marked as containing sensitive content, so we will retweet NSFW previews, fics, etc. if you tag us or use our event hashtag, #somnovember2021 !Q: Can I do more fills than what's on my card?
A: If you finish your bingo card for a full house, feel free to pick out some extra prompts to finish out the month!Q: I want to take part, but I don't want to do a bingo card.

A: We've tried to give you as much control as possible over your random bingo card, but if you'd still prefer to make your own, send us an email or a Twitter message and we'll send you a blank template so you can go wild!Q: Can I create fills in any fandom?
A: Yes, any fandom is welcome, any ship is welcome. Original works are also welcome!Q: Who's in charge here?

A: For this event, we're not allowing you to combine multiple prompts in one fic. You must create one fill per square to claim a bingo, meaning that you can't get a bingo line if all five boxes were checked off in one work.But! If you're going for multiple bingos, you don't need to fill a prompt twice to use the square twice. If you wanted to have two lines that overlap (say, a horizontal and a vertical line), you can count the fill for that space towards both lines.Q: What shapes can I use to get bingo?
